The Laboratorio di storia delle Alpi (LabiSAlp) is an institution for historical research.
The Alpine space is our privileged object of study and the context in which our projects and research initiatives are located.
Researches on Alpine areas can concern both the internal historical dynamics and the interactions and exchanges with the extra-Alpine world.
Historians working within the LabiSAlp are studying different aspects and sectors of the Alpine world such as:
- phenomena and economic processes (trade, markets, agriculture, industry etc..) and their history
- cultural events (religions and faiths, representations of the alpine world etc.).
- the history of demographic processes (population, settlements etc.).
- the political and social dynamics in their historical evolution
